Just4keepers 5 Day camp in Slovakia

Myself (second from left) with J4K Slovakia and Hungary Founder Szilard Mantar (first on left) with the brillant Goalkeepers of Slovakia.

For many people who know me really well, will tell you that I do not really take stock of what i have achieved with J4K. I do not like taking any credit for how successful J4K has become and the 1000's of children that we have helped over the years and the many many keepers J4K now sponsors.

But as I helped run this Goalkeeper Training Camp in the month of July 2010, I could not only feel pride in what I had started way back in 1999 and for the coachee and young keepers I have helped.

To have J4K running in a village in Slovakia, about 100 kilometres into the countryside is somthing that i will never ever forget!

The goalkeeper students were amongst the best behaved students I have had the pleasure to coach, and the standard of goalkeeping was excellent!!!

A special thank you has to go to Szilard who set up this wonderful camp and made it so memorable!

A picture of us all on the last day after the training had finished. None of us wanted to go home!
These goalkeepers were brillant and I cannot wait to return to them next year.

One of the best moments we had there was when we all went for a well deserved break and visited the river that ran through our village. When the water was at its lowest, it allowed us to play beach soccer (where i scored a hatric lol) and swim in safety in the crystal clear water in this amazing countryside.

A picture of us all before we played beach soccer and  got man of the match for my three goal heroics. lol

This was one of the best goalkeeper camps that i have attended and I will never forget the wonderful people i met in the Slovak village but the wonderful students!

Best of Goalkeeping
