Quick tip on taking a goal kick

I am surprised how many keepers are not carful were they put the ball for a goal kick. Most just put the ball anywhere which is a mistake as a lot of keepers but the ball in a slight dip, hole or divot!

You then cannot get your foot under the ball.

You have to make sure you place the ball correctly before taking your goal kick.

What I mean by this is, ‘PLACE’ the ball in a position where it sits up!

So it’s on a piece of grass that allows the ball to be slightly raised.

What this does then is allow you to get your foot ‘Under the ball’ which is VITAL to taking a good goal kick.

So remember: Do not put the ball anywhere... Be ‘Picky’ where you put the ball!

I hope this quick tips helps?
